How do we begin preparing my maternity session?
When you contact me, we arrange a meeting to discuss your ideas. I guide you through choosing the dress, location and photographic style; you do not need to arrive with every decision made.
You then review a proposal with the price and package scope. Participants, duration, photographs and included products should be clear. Sending an enquiry does not reserve a date or require payment.
That guidance continues during the session: I direct your posing and organise the photographs around your comfort and the memories you want to keep.
How does the included dress rental work?
My maternity packages include a credit to rent a dress from our specialist maternity-dress partner. I help you choose the style and we review available options before the session.
If you prefer your own dress, I deduct the included rental amount from the package, as explained on my maternity page. Your proposal shows the adjusted total.
When comparing packages, distinguish an included dress from one charged separately. Also check makeup, hairstyling, location permissions and other extras; a portfolio photograph should not leave you guessing what is included.
When can I view my private gallery?
Approximately two weeks after the session, I send a private gallery link with your finished photographs. You can review them at your own pace and choose the image for your wall portrait when it is included in your package.
Before choosing, consider where the piece will go. A horizontal photograph may suit a wide space, while a vertical portrait may work better on a narrow wall. The artwork’s proportions affect the crop, so we review those with the chosen image.
The gallery presents finished photographs so you can decide from the result. We discuss editing preferences during preparation rather than assume everyone wants the same marks or features changed.
Have a session in mind? Let’s talk about your ideas.
How do I choose photographs for an album and wall portrait?
If your package includes an album, we design it after the session. A story can combine a photograph showing the setting, closer portraits and moments with the people who joined you, rather than many nearly identical variations.
For wall art, choose the photograph you want to see every day and consider the wall’s dimensions. Measure the available space before deciding; how an image looks on a phone does not show how a print will look in your home.
The proposal identifies included products and additional options. You can then decide whether an album telling the session’s story or a main wall portrait matters most, without confusing digital files with physical products.
An album brings together a sequence of moments; a wall portrait highlights an image you want to see every day. Before purchasing, confirm whether “digital album” means a printed book or a file. Size, page count and photograph count depend on the design and product offered.
A sequence can alternate setting, portraits and details without near-identical repetitions. Ask about dedications, dates, grandparent copies and design approval before printing. Combining pregnancy and newborn photographs or a bump progression depends on available images and an agreed product; it does not imply an available combined package. A self-made photo book can differ from a professional album in materials, printing and design, not simply its name.
What is the estimated editing and product delivery time?
Editing the photographs takes about two weeks. After choosing the wall-portrait image and approving the album design where applicable, final-product delivery takes approximately another two to three weeks.
I take your investment very seriously. That is why I give every detail the time it deserves, so each photograph becomes a work of art that brings those emotions back and makes you proud to display it in your home.
With selections and approvals completed promptly, the estimated total is four to five weeks. If you need photographs or a product for a specific date, tell me at our first conversation. We will confirm the schedule for your job, including selection and design time, before you rely on it for a gift or event.
Keep your gallery link so you can return to it. When you receive downloadable files, save a copy in more than one place; do not depend on a link alone to preserve your memories long term.
Ask which samples I can show, what the price includes and when each product is produced and delivered. Digital photographs and albums may follow different timelines. Confirm whether later orders are possible and how long the files needed for those orders will remain available.
Before approval, check design, names, finish, size and cropping. If a product arrives damaged, retain its packaging and contact me with photographs of the issue so we can review the order and applicable remedy. This page does not promise a universal replacement policy or fixed print delivery period.
What should I compare before choosing a maternity package?
Compare proposals with the same finished result in mind. A session with digital files and one with an album and wall portrait do not include the same things, even when both are called a maternity session.
Check whether the displayed price covers what you want or whether selections and products are purchased afterward. Note those differences before deciding rather than guessing what each package name means.
Payments, date changes and delivery should also be clear. If an outdoor session with me is affected by rain, we arrange another date according to availability. Your other booking terms are detailed in the proposal.
- Total price and payment schedule.
- Included dress and adjustment for your own outfit.
- Duration, participants and location.
- Number of finished photographs and delivery format.
- Included or additional album, wall art and other products.
- Gallery and complete-delivery timeline.
- Date-change terms and image-use permissions.
How is a booking confirmed and what happens if plans change?
Sending an enquiry does not hold a date or require payment. I contact you to arrange a meeting, then provide a proposal. Before booking, the scope, price, payment schedule, delivery and terms for changes or cancellation should be set out in writing.
Any deposit, balance deadline, refund and arrangements for illness, early birth, lateness or photographer cancellation depend on your session contract. There is no published universal condition that replaces it. Tell me promptly if something changes so we can review the agreement and available options. Changing collections also requires confirmation of scope and price.
During the planning meeting, we choose the style, location and clothing, and confirm who will take part. We also agree on the time for photographs, outfit changes, travel between locations and breaks so you can plan your day. During the session, I guide poses and framing; you do not need to arrive knowing how to pose.
How do we agree editing and retouching without changing my appearance?
Before booking, we share references for your preferred finish and clarify included retouching. You can ask to retain stretch marks, moles, scars and your body shape. Adjusting light and color is different from changing the body, and does not mean every additional retouch is included.
If you want a temporary blemish, shine or stretch marks softened, we discuss it rather than promise an automatic change. For a natural finish, we look at skin texture and proportions. We address clothing and background distractions during the session where possible. If delivery differs from the agreed finish, contact me to review it and the adjustment terms.
Who can see or publish our photographs?
An enquiry does not authorize publication of photographs of you or your family. We discuss preferences before booking and record them in the relevant authorization. You can ask to approve selected images, keep others private or wait until you announce the pregnancy.
Ask specifically whether authorization covers social media, portfolio use or advertising; do not assume they are identical. No general privacy surcharge is published here. Before using a gallery, confirm access, passwords and who receives its link. Explain your sharing limits to family and avoid open links when restricting distribution. Contact me if an image appears without the authorization you gave.
Which files will I receive and how should I keep them?
Confirm format, resolution, print permission and the download deadline in your proposal. Do not assume RAW files or every unedited photograph are included: RAW is a working file format, and delivery of those files is not advertised here as part of every session.
Download within the agreed period and keep copies in more than one place instead of relying on the gallery link or a phone alone. If files are lost, ask whether a copy still exists; I do not promise permanent archiving. Before using another print lab, confirm permitted uses and whether a higher-resolution file is needed.
How do I choose size, finish and photographs for my wall?
Measure the wall and consider viewing distance. One large photograph emphasizes a moment; several can tell a sequence. Compare room colors and composition before deciding. File resolution and viewing distance also affect an enlargement, so size should not be chosen from a small phone preview alone.
Canvas, framed prints and acrylic have different texture, gloss and presence; ask which finishes and samples are available, especially if reflections bother you. Confirm cropping: a different print ratio can remove edges of the original. Screens emit light while prints reflect it, so appearance may differ. A wall mockup is provided only if agreed, not assumed included.
How should I care for an album or printed photograph?
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the specific material. As a preservation precaution, avoid moisture, intense heat and prolonged direct sunlight. Handle pages with clean hands and store the album protected. Before cleaning wall art, identify the finish and check its instructions rather than applying a general cleaning product.
What should we agree if I want to give a session as a gift?
Before buying a gift, ask whether I can arrange it and confirm what it includes, who it is for and how the date is chosen. Clarify validity, participants, photographs, products and any additional expense. I do not promise an available gift voucher or a reserved date without agreement.
